Hoover Dam Deluxe tour allows 2 hours to explore this modern wonder. See how this magnificent structure was built into the walls of Black Canyon to hold back the mighty Colorado River creating Lake Mead. We recommend you take the optional Discovery Tour for $10 payable at the dam. (Children six and under are free.) In addition to lectured presentation by professional guides you will have access to the Exhibit Hall, Visitor's Center and the indoor and outdoor observation decks and a 25 minute movie of the dam's original construction.
An enjoyable buffet lunch at the New Hacienda Hotel & Casino then on to Ethel M. Chocolate Factory. A quick tour and free samples is a true Las Vegas tradition for any visitor that appeals to the sweet tooth in all of us. Also, located and maintained by the chocolate factory is the Desert Botanical Garden. You will enjoy a stroll through this breathtaking garden with over 300 species native southwest plants displayed in this incredible garden.
